Luisa Babineau

Obituary of Luisa Linda Babineau

In the early hours of Wednesday February 21st, Luisa Linda Babineau (DiAdamo) took her final breath on this earth and her first breath in glory! She was born in Minto on November 10,1943 to Selvino DiAdamo and Virginia Wagnies. At the tender age of 15, she left school to work full time to help support the family after a tragic mining accident left her father hospitalized for a year. When she was 18, her father would not allow her to take a trip to PEI with friends but compromised by allowing her to have a party. At that party she would meet a guy in a red shirt who became the love of her life and married three years later. Rene and Luisa married on June 6,1964 and over their 60 years together raised a family, built a business, had happiness, sadness and tragedies but their love never wavered.

She was well known for her clean house, her cooking and baking abilities and her famous “Christmas Cake” that she held as a family secret recipe for years. On Sunday’s, she would come home from church at noon and have fresh homemade ravioli on the table in two hours.
Her children and grandchildren were precious to her and there was nothing she wouldn’t do for them. She would travel to Fredericton, Nova Scotia, Maine and Texas whenever her children or grandchildren needed her.

She loved and was loved by many. She was Louise, mom, Nana, Nan, Neaner Nannie, Auntie and of course, “Rene’s wife”! A lady to the end who taught her children manners and respect. She was a wise councilor and friend to many. She will be deeply missed by all.

She is survived by her loving husband Rene, a son Wayne(Sheri) and daughter Cherie(Bob),
grandchildren Karlie, Chase, Alisha, Bryce, Ainesh, Aimee(Micah), Miles and Jenna; great grandchildren Noah, Sophie and Lucy; a brother Fred and a sister Linda. Many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews. She has been reunited with her parents, her daughter Krista, her brother Gus, her grandson Dan and her best friend and sister in law Annette who went on to glory before her…what a joyful reunion that must have been! Until we see you again mom…we love you!

A celebration will take place on Saturday April 27,2024 with a mass at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 11 am followed by a reception at Holy Rosary Hall.
